Welcome to the Manitoba Forage Council

Manitoba’s wealth of fertile soils and pastureland lends itself to the production of quality hay and forages and as a result - first class livestock. By supporting research and extension projects that help producers produce top-notch crops and develop excellent land, water and animal management techniques, the Council is making a positive contribution to the industry.

Pro-active involvement in marketing activities in the U.S at large events such as the MidWest Horse Fair and World Dairy Expo has raised the profile of Manitoba’s forage industry and created a “marketing avenue” for many in the industry.

Together with its many industry and producer partners, the Manitoba Forage Council will continue to administrate projects that are of benefit to producers, researchers and the forage industry.
